I grew up in Sudbury, Mass, graduated from Hampshire College and worked in New York City as a computer programmer and as a systems architect.

I now live in the northern Temple woods in my family's log cabin with my wife, Camilla Sanderson. I make maple syrup, have joined the farm's board and am helping Buddhist "forest monks" establish roots across the street from our house.
